Austrade, the Australian Government’s trade and investment development agency has won a “Site of the Day” award for Friday 8th July 2011. The award was voted by an international jury made up of some of the most important designers, bloggers and Internet agencies. The site was evaluated by scoring it on a scale of 1 to 10 for its Design, Creativity, Uimagesability and Content.

This work is the culmination of an outstanding collaboration effort between Elcom and Silver Pistol to deliver the Austrade website redesign.

Elcom’s Product Director, Anthony Milner commented, “We are particularly pleased at how effortlessly the ElcomCMS was able to adopt these brilliant designs from Silver Pistol. Converting a site with over 20,000 pages in a matter of days is testament to the great benefits of using a CMS that truly embraces CSS allowing for true separation of content and design.”

For over 6 years, Austrade and Elcom have been working closely to develop and expand their government web portal. Elcom’s flagship product, CommunityManager.NET, has allowed Austrade to centrally manage the creation and publishing of their web content, their international multilingual sites and online training portals.
